SEAYouth Festival aims to strengthen the bond and solidarity among youth around the globe and to accommodate the youth voices on human rights, democracy, freedom, and justice. One of the sessions in the festival is where youth around the world can come together and have a discussion on human rights, which is The Global Meet Up.
Saturday, August 15th, 2020
09.00 - 10.00 PM (GMT+7, Jakarta, Bangkok Time)
Topic: Human Rights Situation around The Globe
In the global meet up, SEAYouth Festival provides a safe space for youth to discuss the situation regarding human rights across the globe during the coronavirus pandemic. If you feel like having something to say about the topic or simply just want to hear what other observation on the topic, feel free to join because we'd love to have you in this session.
The Structure
The global meet up is designed for a very interactive session where there will be hosts that would moderate the leaderless discussion. It will take place via Zoom (please download Zoom App beforehand) and once the discussion is opened, the host will break the participants into smaller groups so that eveyone can have equal opportunity to share and to voice out their mind and feelings. The discussion will last around 30 to 45 minutes.
